Hi, my name is Imran Ahmad Khan and I am currently studying for my Masters in Journalism from Columbia University in New York. I graduated from the Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2014 with a degree in Politics and Economics.
Before joining Columbia University, I worked with the Pakistan Cricket Board and Pakistan Super League as Manager Marketing, Media & PR. In this dream job, I was involved in various exciting projects such as the #CricketComesHome campaign for the first international cricket series in Pakistan after six years, the phenomenal Pakistan Super League, Pakistan Cup, and Pakistan Cricket Board’s partnership with the Edhi Foundation.
My work at PCB and PSL gave me an integrated marketing and media experience and I consider myself extremely lucky to have had the opportunity to live my dream.
These days I am exploring New York and building my skills as a multimedia journalist at the Columbia Journalism School.
Ballashalla.com is my space to talk to anyone who is interested in what I say. You will find regular posts about the game of cricket because that is my first love. Among other things, I don’t mind a discussion on global affairs and food.
To-do list (written first in the year 2010):
1) Do something that creates tangible social change in Pakistan
2) Have my own cricket TV show
3) Work as a cricket broadcaster and a regular writer on cricket
4) Get a job that allows me to travel with the Pakistan Cricket Team
5) Tell stories using text and film
6) Explore new cities (2016)
